Stories to treasure

Return to activities

The library is home to an incredible wealth of books and journals. Besides scientific literature there are also primary literary sources available in a multitude of languages. In order to give a voice to the masses of literary texts, lecturers and students will read fragments focusing on the university, learning and education out loud, in the original language. The fragments have been translated into Dutch especially for the occasion. Poems and fragments of prose in Arabic, Chinese, Italian and Russian, not to mention many other languages, will be performed to a wandering audience. All languages are studied in courses run by our department. In this way we give a hint at the voice and face of so many books in our departmental book collection.
