How does the international press see Flanders? With this question in mind, researchers specialised in multilingual communication analysed almost 10,000 newspaper articles from the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, and Germany for three years. Armed with a camera and a microphone, they interviewed international correspondents and others ‘newsmakers’. The result is a fascinating documentary on the complex ways news is formed and how our region is portrayed abroad. Professor Ellen Van Praet gives an expert introduction to this documentary.
