Guided tour

The Façade Elements Testing Centre was founded in 1948, just after the Second World War. Given the large housing shortage and the emergence of new building techniques and methods, the lab provided the opportunity to test innovative constructions. New labs and systems are still being developed and tested for the construction industry today: waterproofing of windows, air tightness of sprayed airtight slabs, artificial ageing of the insulation materials of the future.
